As the Expo 2020 Dubai came to an end on March 31, 2022, the Global Chinese Learning Platform (GCLP) on display in the China Pavilion successfully concluded its six-month mission of showcasing the latest developments in China’s smart education campaign, promoting an intercultural exchange with China’s traditional culture, and facilitating Chinese language education.
The GCLP, developed and operated by iFLYTEK, went on display in the China Pavilion on the opening day of the Expo 2020 Dubai on October 1, 2021, and welcomed more than one million Chinese language learners from around the world. The GCLP was covered by a range of media outlets during the Expo 2020 Dubai, reaching more than 100 million viewers.
By presenting the benefits of using artificial intelligence in educational development and showcasing the Chinese language and culture, the platform meaningfully engaged visitors seeking to learn Chinese in a more effective and easy manner.
Among the visitors at the GCLP during the Expo 2020 Dubai was Ronald, a former maintenance worker from California, who has visited 16 World Expos since 1962. Users like him have often contributed to the development of the platform and Chinese learning as a whole.
Throughout the 182-day exhibition and the 50 themed events in the China Pavilion, the GCLP stood out as a primary attraction at the Expo 2020 Dubai. On the Anhui Event Day, iFLYTEK Founder and Chairman Liu Qingfeng delivered a speech titled “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future, and Building A Community with A Shared Future for Mankind with AI”, to further promote the platform.
