1024 Overseas City Summit: iFLYTEK in South Korea and Overseas Markets

iFLYTEK hosted the 2022 1024 Global Developer Festival Seoul City Summit in South Korea on November 8, with the theme “AI Going Global & Intelligent Achievements Sharing”. Partners from China and South Korea gathered to discuss future AI trends and work toward long-term cooperation and development of enterprises between the two countries.

This summit was joined by over 300 participants, including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Xing Haiming, South Korean National Assembly Speaker Kim Jin-pyo, South Korean Democratic United Party member Kim Doo-kwan, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Seoul Vice Mayor Wu Chenhuan, Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairman Kim Hyeon-gi, Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon, and China-Asia Economic Development Association President Quan Shunji. The summit aimed to facilitate exchanges between China and South Korea on technological cooperation and increase efforts toward building an ecosystem for AI.

The summit started with an introduction video of the iFLYTEK 1024 Global Developer Festival and iFLYTEK Open Platform, highlighting the strong momentum and technological achievements of iFLYTEK. In the principle of “Openness, Cooperation, Ecosystem and Sharing”, the event pooled hundreds of AI experts from around the world and gathered millions of developers through the overarching global cooperation ecosystem. As an international, professional, and market-oriented event in the AI industry, the summit shared new opportunities brought by the global digital economy and explored new growth drivers for industrial integration and economic growth.

Lee Sun Ho, the Chairman of the Korea-China Silk Road International Exchange Association, gave a speech where he wished the 2022 iFLYTEK 1024 Global Developer Festival Seoul City Summit’s success and expressed his hope for mutually beneficial cooperation that would lead to the shared development of China and South Korea.

Zhou Chuanfu, the General Manager of iFLYTEK Consumer BG, delivered a keynote speech, Capability and Solutions of iFLYTEK Open Platform. He highlighted that this AI platform has shared over 500 AI capabilities and solutions and brought together more than five million developers, with the total number of use cases exceeding 1.542 million.

As pointed out by Zhou, “To meet the global business development needs of the AI industry, we have set up servers in Singapore and South Korea. The Singapore site of the iFLYTEK Open Platform was launched in June 2020, while the South Korea site will be launched by the end of the year (2022)”.

Additionally, a representative of ai smarttek gave a keynote speech on his company’s hardware business and discussed the application of iFLYTEK hardware products such as Smart Mouse and Smart Keyboard in South Korea. The representative further said in his speech that iFLYTEK and its smart products were recognized for being a leader forging ahead in the development of the AI industry.

The summit also included a keynote showcasing multiple iFLYTEK partners, AI products and the continued application of AI in various sectors, as well as the prospects of cooperation between iFLYTEK and Korean enterprises.

At the conference, iFLYTEK signed contracts with SIG and Daegu National University of Education to develop the Korean AI market and support relevant technologies and products in going abroad. Committed to becoming a bridge between China and South Korea in the field of AI, iFLYTEK has been working toward a new AI ecosystem between China and South Korea.
